About Me
I am Ganesh, a FIDE-rated chess player and coach (1727) with over six years of experience as a chess instructor and more than Ten years of experience as a competitive chess player. Chess has been a major part of my life, not only as a sport but as a tool for building thinking skills, discipline, and confidence.
As a coach, I have worked with students across all age groups and skill levels, from absolute beginners taking their first steps in chess to competitive players looking to strengthen their understanding of the game. Over the years, I have taught students from USA, UK, Canada, Singapore, UAE, and India through structured online programs, gaining strong experience in international online coaching.
My coaching style is kids-friendly, energetic, and structured. I strongly believe that students learn best when they enjoy the process, so my classes balance fun with clear structure and discipline. Instead of memorizing moves, students are guided to understand concepts, think independently, and apply ideas confidently in their games. Patience, clear communication, and step-by-step explanation are at the core of every session.
I place a strong emphasis on building solid fundamentals and a healthy mindset toward chess. Whether a student is learning the basics or preparing for competitive play, the focus is always on long-term improvement rather than shortcuts. This approach has helped me maintain a 95%+ student retention rate across multiple academies and programs.
As a player, my competitive background allows me to bring real-game understanding into my coaching. I share practical insights from tournament experience, helping students understand not just what to play, but why certain decisions work in real situations. This combination of playing experience and structured teaching helps students progress with confidence and clarity.
